Our story
A Local School Built on Patience
Steerwise began in 2010 with one dual-control sedan and a simple belief: nobody is a "bad driver," some people just haven't been taught well yet. Founder Glenn Davidson started giving evening lessons around Ithaca after his day job — and word spread.
Today our team of 30+ certified instructors teaches more than 2,000 learners a year, from nervous sixteen-year-olds to retirees getting back on the road. Our first-attempt pass rate sits at 96%, nearly double the state average.
